    Despite the rapid development of advanced anti-ship weapons systems, including hypersonic missiles, the U.S. Navy’s commitment to ensuring the survivability of these supercarriers is unwavering.

    These carriers, often described as the backbone of aero-sea warfare, have historically proven their mettle as the most formidable surface-type ships, as demonstrated during the Battle of Midway in World War II.
